Sea Warriors Continue To Roll

The HPU men’s and women’s golf teams improved to 2-0 on the season, as they both prevailed in their matches today at the Turtle Bay Country Club. The Sea Warrior men carded a team total of 295, edging out BYUH who finished with a 299. Chaminade placed third with a total of 377. The Sea Warrior women’s team finished with a 381, followed by BYUH (452) and Chaminade (483).

Brian Keller medaled for the second time in as many matches, shooting a team-best 72. BYUH’s Mana Desterny had the low score of the day, finishing with a 69. Craig Imamura and Zak Fearing finished tied for third with a 74. Alex Chan and Alan Baab rounded out the scoring for HPU with a 75 and 78, respectively.

Freshman sensation Kristine Higa shot the low score for the second-straight match, finishing with a 77. Sheika-Ann Ambatali and Nicole Loschke both improved their scores from the last match, finishing with a 100 and 101, respectively. Sharlene Naiker matched her score from last week, carding a 103.

Both teams will return to the Fazio Course at Turtle Bay next week, with tee-time set for 12:00 p.m.
